Oh I love this one so much because of her meeting schedule - the couldn't find 15 minutes for 3 weeks sounds like my insane meeting schedule. Glad I'm not the only one (but I'm also always trying hard to fix it!)
This is great. What an inspiration! Love how you're making dinner work for you and your family. From one medical professional to another: here is your sign to outsource laundry! It would probably be slightly more expensive in Seattle compared to where I am in the Midwest, but if you can find a teenager, college student, etc. it will be so worth it. I delayed on this one because I don't MIND doing laundry and thought "it doesn't take that much time if you just move it along between things," plus I have my preference for how it gets done. But for 3-4 hours a week at $20/hour, it frees up so much time to exercise, relax, etc.
I started using the Deglaze app for meal planning and prep a few months ago and it has seriously changed our family’s life! You can upload and save recipes from any source, plan out your meal schedule, sync it to your cal, compile a grocery list, and even send the list to a grocery delivery service. Then when it’s time to cook, the recipes are clearly laid out and your screen stays on so you don’t have to read a whole life story on a blog. My favorite feature is that it’s shareable within a household, so my husband and I are on the same page about what’s for dinner and even *what step in the cooking process* one of us is on for seamless transitions in the kitchen. (Sponsor me, Deglaze! Haha)
Hi! She responded to your question through me: "@carochambers is the GOAT and her cookbooks and substack are life. They are true 30-minute dinners, minimal cleanup, tons of subs for dietary preferences. Cannot recommend her enough for busy families. We also do a lot of easy freezable things (healthy muffins/waffles or I'll make a bunch of burritos or breakfast sandwiches and freeze them) - I almost always double or triple batch when I have the time and am cooking anyway. This is one of my biggest overall time savers."

Same. I felt seen, and also stressed for her. I am in the same boat.
I look forward to these every week! So inspiring and honestly challenges me to up my game a bit
I think this pillowcase/sheet hack just changed my life!!!!
Haha yes the number of times I have pulled out the wrong thing and had to go back and rummage around!

My first thought when I read the intro was: a real life Miranda Bailey!! So inspiring to see how the sharer juggles all of these life demands!
Exactly what I thought too!!

This sounds great!
Honestly I'm just in awe.
We flipped to an earlier dinner too for the same reasons! And YES sign up for the ballet class, it’s a great workout too!
Where does the poster find her recipes? Thanks so much! In awe

Thank you à TON!
We eat mainly pescatarian as well. We use Blue Apron 3x a week which has helped so much. Love seeing more medical careers represented!
