I’m curious to hear more about what the poster is audio journaling about! I’ve never considered the idea of having AI act as an executive coach in my field before.
Hi! I’ll reach out to her to ask. In the meantime, here’s what I would do: I'd build a project in Claude (my preferred AI platform – you could use Copilot at work if that’s what you have access to there)(e.g., “My Daily Briefing”). I’d have Claude help me write instructions and any project files for the project. For instructions, it would be along the lines of "You're an executive coach for women in [industry] with 20 years experience. I’m focused on improving XYZ right now. Each morning, I'll drop in a brain dump of action items and ideas – both personal and professional [or just one if relevant]. Please turn it into [specific steps], flag [any issues/challenges/blindspots], and offer to schedule tasks.” For project files, consider adding more context on what you're working on, frameworks you use, a file about you (what you do, where you live, kids' ages if you have them, the meals and places you like, etc.) so the output fits your real life.
Then each morning: record a voice memo (I’d use Apple Voice Memos; you could also use Wispr Flor), grab the transcript (click the three dots and hit Copy Transcript), open the project, start a new chat, drop it in.
You’ll probably have to iterate and improve it the first few times you use it, but that’s where I’d start! Hope that helps!
Thanks! I’m especially curious what types of things she talks about in these briefings, especially if there’s a set pattern she follows (ex. Kids schedules/activities, work projects, frustrations/emotions, dinner plans, etc.)
Curious as to whether you can use just plain Claude chat for this or would you need Cowork? Edit to say I am running into issues using Claude as a Chief of Staff because it has to live on Claude Cowork, which I cannot access during the workday as I cant log into it from my work computer and the Claude app only offers Chat. So I find myself doing morning and evening checkins with it at home, but really need to figure out a solution that I can use as things occur to me during the work day. One obvious option is to drag my personal computer to work with me but I would like to avoid the schlepping! Thanks for putting these together. I have found them super helpful.
Happy to help if I can! Definitely think you could do what she describes in Chat - not Cowork. I'm sorry to hear that about your Chief of Staff. Why does it have to live in Cowork? (I'm sure you're right – just trying to help you troubleshoot that limitation.) I use Cowork only for tasks that need to interact with things on my computer (e.g., access files on my desktop) or scheduled skills. But I can use Chat to connect to my calendar, email, etc., so I do most things in Chat.
The substacker who gave me the idea and template suggested cowork (shout out Sara Beth https://saralongenecker.substack.com/p/on-building-things-that-serve-you?r=7e925&utm_medium=ios)). I connected it to my personal google calendar and gmail (unfortunately cant connect to my work stuff bc it’s confidential and definitely no recorded meetings or auto transcripts of meetings allowed 😭 must be nice for those of you in the private sector!). I will try connecting a chat to my gmail/calendar to see if it works similarly—thank you!
Soo curious about this too! I have the same limitation as another commenter about not having embedded cowork on my work computer. I’m paying for a personal subscription but it’s really clunky trying to manually give it enough info to be functional for me
Also interested in the recording brain dump to AI summary piece! Given she mentioned thats not work related, would be great to know what platform she uses if she can share etc.

Very helpful! Thanks for the clarification. I'll ask! (I wait to compile all questions so I can send the sharer just one email – stay tuned!)

Same, and I’d love to hear more about the app(s) she’s using for this.
Same I'd love to hear how she does this/which app(s) she uses. Thanks!

Your job sounds really busy and I enjoyed hearing about the creative ways you are making it work!
I really enjoyed seeing how an au pair works! Seems like a great solution for this family and two busy working parents!
I LOVE the idea of a brain dump and summarizing as an executive coach! That's one I haven't heard before, and I can really see the utility.
Curious what au pair program she recommends and any advice for the process!
Also interested in the recording brain dump to AI summary piece! Given she mentioned thats not work related, would be great to know what platform she uses if she can share etc.
I would love to leverage my commute to audio journal, but can’t quite figure out the right fit. Anyone have any recommendations?
